What Causes Heavy Menstruation Along With Abdominal Cramps While On Mirena Coil?

Hi. Have had copper merina for 4 months now. I have never been able to feel it. I have had my periods but they have been heavy as indicated by the nurse who inserted it. This month l have been experiencing abdorminal cramps. Like those that you get when you hold urinating for too long. I usually feel them when lm about to finish urinating or during sex. Its not severe but it is very uncomfortable. Am not sure whats causing it but l think its the UDI. should l be worried. I have no discharge.

I really appreciate your concern, such lower abdominal pain or discomfort may not be due to IUD but this could be kind of dysmenorrhea, may be nonspecific too and may not need any treatment, if this long last then it may need ultrasonography test, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
