What Causes Heavy Periods After Quitting Birth Control Pills?

hi doctor, i am 31 years old. i usually have regular periods. 2 months ago, i took diane 35 pills and stopped using after i had consumed the whole pack. i did not continue taking the pills anymore. after taking the pill i had my period and it is normal. that was just last month. now i am currently on my fifth day of my period. i still have medium flow and still red in color. i am not used to having this. usually by the 5th day i dont bleed this way anymore. is something wrong with me? is it something i have to be alarmed of?or can it be a normal thing?please help me.
