What Causes Heavy Periods Along With Painful Cramps?

I had a heart attach in Dec of 2014. I am having my period now and I am passing a very large amount of large blood clots. I go thru a pad every 15 to 20 mins. And I am having horribly painful cramps. Could this be due to the mds I am on for my heart??

There is likelihood of some blood thinning medicine you are taking post heart attack. But so profuse bleeding may be because of other reasons of menorrhagia etc too.

To exclude the underlying diseases , pl meet your prescribing doctor and gynaec also.
