What Causes Heavy Periods And Cramping After Getting Tubes Tied?

I am a 33 years old have a had two sets of twins and am Finished havin children. I have had my tubes tied and an ablation(sp?) done 8 years ago. The past three months I have been having heavy periods and cramping again. I have had a normal pap done 2months ago and nothing abnnormal shows on a ultrasound. These past few months I have been a living nightmare for everyone...very moody and emonital I have another appt tomorrow with my dr. Can I just ask for a hysterectomy? Is that uncommon?
