What Causes Heavy Rectal Bleeding Before A Colonoscopy?

I have been on a waiting list in Quebec for a colonoscopy since June. I have been tested 2 out of 3 for colon cancer and have been experiencing heavy bleeding when going to the bathroom. NOw that I have moved back to Ontario and applied for an OHIP card is there any doctor that would see me before I get the OHIP card which will be valid on Nov. 1. I am very worried that my condition is deteriorating....
