What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse?

I had a baby 7 weeks ago. Roughly 2 weeks ago I started my period and bled for roughly 5 days then stopped. My partner and I had unprotected sex 9 days ago and I have started bleeding much more heavily again. I went to the toilet tonight and I felt something slip out of my vagina. I pulled it out of the toilet and it looked like grey tissue. What could this be?

Hi, thanks for sharing your health concerns with HCM!

Well, did you do a pregnancy test? Any recent USG?

If not hurry and do it right now!

Hi! there are few possibilities in your case:

1. uterine diseases like a polyp or some missed abortion : needs USG/CA-125 tests

2. cervical ulcers, infection, polyps, growth/cancer: needs gynecological examination, culture and PAP tests

3. vaginal infection, trauma, polyps etc: needs antibiotics

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
