What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding During 6 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
Hi I m 6 weeks pregnant. I went to the hospital 5/11 for some heavy bleeding but no pain. The doctor did blood work and an inner ultra sound. The results came back normal. However I m still bleeding and it s gotten heavier and I ve had cramps for then last few days similar to period cramps. Today I had a big blood clot looking thing pass during me using the restroom? I m not sure if blood clots and this amount of bleeding is normal or if I shouk d return back to the er.
Possible causes like threatened abortion must be ruled out. Heavy bleeding is not common in early pregnancy and you should take an ultrasound scan at the earliest.
As of now drink plenty of water and take bed rest. Once the threatened abortion is confirmed, drugs like progestin may be started.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
