What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding During Menstruation?

I have very heavy menstrual bleeding. I bleed through 1 tampon an hour Super heavy flow variety. I feel weak and tired. 13 years ago I nearly bled to dead from being put on birth control and had to have 8 bags of blood. I am scared that this might be happening again. Is there anything I can do? I practically have to stay by the restroom and have to walk around with a extra heavy tampon and an extra heavy pad on all the time. At night if i don t get up I always overflow through both. What should I do? l

Hi,

The excessive bleeding you have needs to be investigated to find specific cause and then treated accordingly. It can be your personal basic pattern of homesteading to FUH / fibroid of uterus, endometriosis / polyp / bleeding disorders or use of blood thinners. Treatment for each cause is different. There is no point in bearing it or taking medicines for temporary benefit. Please consult an expert gynecologist.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
