What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding Post Da Vinci Hysterectomy?

I am 2 wks post op davinci hyster, I still have my ovaries. I had some bleeding in the hospital overnight - normal. Once I went home....not a drop, not complaining....getting to my question...lol.. I am now sporadically gushing blood and 3 inch diameter clots. the doc saw me today, says its all normal. I question this. And my belly button incision is weird...you can see the stiches that are supposed to be interbal, and it has a fishy smell. That is normal also he says. 38 yo, 3 pregnancies ( 1-miscarriage, 1-vag, 1-csec). PCOS, IC, PCS, and pathology showed adenomyosis.

I really appreciate your concern. Bleeding is a complication of da vinci surgery which totally depends on the technique and skill of the surgeon. Some women may experience more bleeding.
If lady comes with similar symptoms to my clinic, I would ask her whether she suffering from fever to rule out any possibility of infection of the surgical incision. If the skin near incision is becoming black there is high chances of skin necrosis and infection.
Normally bleeding stops after 2-3 weeks of the surgery. You have seen your doctor for the same. So have some faith in him and be relaxed.
