What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding While Having Benign Tumor In Ovary?

I just had a natural miscarriage on the 28th. I had blood test and a paps test including stds which all came back negative. I had excruciating pains on the 10th which led me to the emergency room. Doctors originally thought I might be having an ectopic pregnancy or it was just a cyst. After two ultra sounds I was told I had a benign tumor on my ovary. I have just recently started bleeding very heavy after only lightly spotting. I m not sure if that s normal or if I started my period. I was told I wouldn t start for about 4 to 6 weeks and it s only been 2. This morning I woke up with tiny little white bumps on my clit and I don t know if that would be caused by stress or possibly my tumor. I see my doctor on Thursday but would like to know if this is normal.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Disorders of ovary like tumors of ovary can cause menstrual abnormalities like heavy bleeding.
However, other possibilities of heavy bleeding need to be ruled out like endometrial thickening, endometrial growth or any other abnormality of uterus.
Thus, I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment and relevant investigations like ultrasound pelvis to look for any abnormality of the uterus.
The management of benign ovarian tumor will depend on the size of ovarian tumor and whether it is symptomatic or not.
The white bump on clitoris needs to be clinically examined, however, it is probably not responsible for heavy bleeding.

Thanks and take care
