What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding While On A Mirena IUD?

Hi i have mirena coil fitted i am bleeding quite heavy every day so i was wondering if i can utovlan to see if this can stop or slow down the bleeding i am getting lots of cramps already as i feel like i am on a constant period before coil i just bleed fir 7-10 days then stopped so bleeding all the time is exhausting Regards Dawn

Hi I think you should consult a gynecologist for complete examination. You can use some medicines like tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. If it doesn't work, you can take high dose of progesterone to stop the bleeding. It can be a side effect of mirena. It will resolve on its own. Hope it helps.
