General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi! The ovary, that you mention was removed due to the presence of a cyst, was also responsible for normal hormonal production that keeps excessive bleeding in check. Thus, you must see a gynecologist for the purpose of taking these things, 1) An oestrogen medication 2) pain killing medicines 3) an iron injection to replace the lost iron supplies through blood loss. This is sufficient to cure you of the excessive bleeding, also called as "menorragia". Obliged, Dr. Neel Kudchadkar
