What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding With Clots When Diagnosed With Uterine Fibroids?

I am 48 and have uterine fibroids. I have very heavy bleeding. I notice my period come 4th July and lasted for 6 days. On the 16th I noticed I started stopping by 19 get heavy with clots and still going. Do you think I am going through menopause or something is wrong

1. The treatment of heavy menstrual flow varies according to age and according to your age [48 years], symptom wise approach is as follow:

. First send the patient for Endometrial curettage and biopsy to rule out malignancy.
. If Biopsy is normal, advise hormone Therapy [pills] for 3 to 4 cycles. But if bleeding is not controlled, refer for hysterectomy [removal of uterus]

. check with baseline investigations like: Hb%, WBC, Bleeding disorder profile, Serum Thyroid
