What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding With Large Clumps?

I had my first baby in November 2014. She was 30 week gestation with a rapid vaginal birth no medicine was used. I gushed blood for about 15 to 20 minutes after wards and continued bleeding very heavily without stopping until early February. Now I bleed very heavy every 2 weeks with large clumps and have constant aching and sudden pain if I squat or bend over . between periods I have clear discharge with blood in it. My gynecologist said I had an infection but said it had cleared up but the pain is still present along with a constant ache. Do you know what could be causing this or what I can ask my gynecologist about to help?

Hello,

Bleeding between periods is seen in conditions like chlamydia (Chlamydial Genitourinary Infections), urinary tract infection and cystitis - Bladder Infection in Females, ectopic pregnancy, gonorrhea, ovarian cysts, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, uterine fibroids and adenomyosis.
If the infection had reduced, pain must have come down. Residual infection might be causing pain and vaginal discharge. You need to be treated with antibiotics or medicines depending upon the cause of your infection. Please consult another gynecologist to initiate a course of antibiotics and treat the infection.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
