What Causes Heavy Vaginal Clots Upon Irregular Usage Of Clexane Injections?

Hi, I was given the Clexane injection kit to use for 40 days. I used the for about a week and just completely forgot to start using them again, getting side tracked my a new baby and being so busy. I ve missed maybe two weeks and now I m having bad back ache, quite bad stomach cramps and I m bleeding loads and have frequent blood clots that are bigger than 50p s (midwife told me to measure by 50p coins) and they re falling into the toilet as well. Should I be worried or is this normal?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you may need to have PT, apTT and clotting profile to look for any blood thinning leading to such vaginal bleeding. Meanwhile clexane may not be used unless any severe derangements should be ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
