hi. noted history of hemorrhoid. are you a male or a female? do you have history of constipation? the usual triggers of symptomatic hemorrhoid are childbearing, strenuous activities (like lifting of heavy objects). if it becomes bothersome, painful and bleeding, it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a general surgeon, for physical examination and clinical evaluation. a direct rectal examination will be performed. diagnostics (such as proctoscopy and blood examination) and management (medical and/or surgical if indications are found) will be directed accordingly. not all hemorrhoids should be operated on, but if it is thrombosed and any of those mentioned danger symptoms are present, surgical management is best. high fiber diet is also recommended. hot sitz bath for 10-15min, at least twice daily, or every after bowel movement will also temporarily relief the pain if you re experiencing it. hope this helps. good day!! ~dr.kaye
