Hi,

Typhoid fever is known to cause a wide range of hepatic complications. However, cholestasis secondary to typhoid fever has only been reported in a few instances. The pathophysiology of liver dysfunction due to typhoid infection is not yet fully understood.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Esmeralda Sera, Oncologist
