What Causes Hepatomegaly In Elderly?

My mother(60+) is suffering from mild hepatomegaly with a liver that measures 15.5 cm. She is currently under a very simple diet and some medications. She is a complete teetotaler, so I would like to know what are the other precautions that needs to be observed in her case

Hello

Your mother findings suggests mildly enlarged liver.
It may be due to many reasons like hepatitis, obesity, metabolic disorder, tumour etc.
She may need few more investigations like routine hemogram, random blood sugar, lipid profile, liver function test.
Mildly enlarged liver is a reversible condition.
She may need few medicines after complete investigations.

Get well soon.
Take Care
