What Causes Hiccups After Vasectomy?

After my husband had his vasectomy he has had hiccups. He got his vasectomy a week ago. The hiccups will last for hours, over 12 sometimes. I don t ever remember him getting hiccups our whole marriage until now. Is there any relation between the hiccups and the vasectomy?
