What Causes Hickey Like Bruises On The Forearms Of An Infant?

My 19 month old has had a few episodes of getting hickey like bruises on his forearms after being at daycare. I m not sure if I should be worried. They do not think he was injured. He does like to carry multiple things at once by holding them between his body and his arm.

Hi,

It is possible that holding the objects in this area can cause bruising but the objects may need to be hard or sharp and he would have to be holding with a lot of pressure. If the bruises are not in any other area, this is the most likely cause. If they are wide spread then he may need to be assessed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
