9year old male has always high aso 500 , he has hist of fever with pharyngitis 4 month back , he treated by antibiotic ,compleatly improved , now has no clinical proplem but his aso stil high since that illness.what is the possibbility and the treatment.
Understanding your concern. As per your query high ASO level while having fever and pharyngitis could be due to presence of infection and poor immunity of body due to which there is increased susceptibility of getting infected. Need not to worry about it. You should visit pediatrician once and get blood tests done. WBC count will check the level of infection. You should start medication after proper diagnosis. Till then take antibiotic Amoxicillin for 3 days. Avoid use of cold liquid substances. Take steam inhalation. You should give child green tea or chicken soup. Avoid oily food. Take diet rich in multivitamins. Antiinflammatory drugs Sinarest will be helpful. If fever will be there along with infection you should give Ibuprofen. Give him plenty of fluids.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
