What Causes High BP And Chest Tightness After Treating Anxiety?

I am 50 years of age. I exercise 4-6 times a week and I eat health. I have always had normal blood pressure. But about a week and a half ago my blood pressure was 154/80 and I felt this tightness in my chest. I also felt like my heart was going to come out of my chest. I do have a history of anxiety. Was this just my anxiety or do I need to be concerned and go see my Doctor?

your chest tightness may be due to anxiety . but as you are 50 years old first we have to exclude wheather symptoms occured due to a heart disease. other than anxiety and heart disease, there may be a different cause for your chest tightness such as gastris or pain arise from your respiratory system. so it is better to consult your family physician. he will take a detailed history and examinations. he will arrange necessary investigations and referals to find the cause for your chest tightness. so dont ignore this was due to anxiety.let your doctor to decide what was the reason for your chest tightness.
