What Causes High BP With Chest Pain In Pregnancy?

I've had high blood pressure for about 3 wks, 33 wks pregnant, but sent to the hospital twice for monitoring, only trace amounts of protein in urine. Today I've been having chest pains, and still have high blood pressure. I have a doctor's appt first thing in the morning. Should i just wait and talk to doctor or could it be something serious?

Hello and I hope I can help you today.

I hope you have already gone to the emergency room by the time you get this message, but please go back to the hospital for evaluation!!!! Chest pain can be serious or be hiding other complications of severe preeclampsia. If you are already hypertensive at 33 weeks you are at high risk for preeclampsia and chest pain can be a bad sign, so please go to the hospital.

I hope you follow my advice and you and your baby are Ok

Sincerely, Dr. Brown
