What Causes High BP With Heart Pounding?

I'm typically a healthy person, exercising 5 days a week and eating plenty greens and vegetables. I have fallen off the wagon to exercising 2 days a week and limited fruits and veggies. I took my blood pressure and it is 183/108 and about 10 minutes ago it was 174/100. The only symptoms now that I read the blood pressure is that my heart is pounding. What should I do to calm the pressure, if anything? or should I go to the ER?

Hai,
As most of Hypertension will occur for unknown cause.
Sometimes anxiety oriented stress will increase the blood pressure. kindly relax for sometimes and read the Blood pressure. it will show the ideal one.
If it still on the same reading around 170-180/100-110 mmHg kindly visit a physician for proper treatment.
