What Causes High WBC Count, Lightheadedness, Weakness, Lack Of Appetite And Nausea?

Can you give me a reason why I m feeling the way I am? I went to the hospital they and said my white blood cell count was very high meaning I m fighting off an infection. But I have a feeling it s something a bit more. My symptoms are as follows: light headed, weakness, lack of apatite, nauseous(since I ve taken the antibiotics hospital prescribed) and slightly crampy. Help please?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the assembly of high WBC count, light headache, weakness, lack of appetite and nausea do indicate intestine infection with some sort of bacteria most likely food or water induced. Guidelines for better recovery:
- Plenty of liquids including boiled water, coconut water, lemon juice
- Dietary preference for bland vegan diet
- Avoidance of spices, non veg, junk food, dairy items
- Addition of anti emetic like Ondancetron proton pump inhibitor like Rabeprazole, anti pyretic like Acetaminophen, with current antibiotic use.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
