Hi I have been having a high white count and I feel fine. In 12/16 I had bariatric surgery (ruen-Y) and I have been doing good but at that time they discovered and extremely large liver but never showed up on test until during surgery. I have lost 60 lbs so far but the concern is why would the white count be high and remain High. I did acquire a stap infection in incisions in Jan but after med it cleared up other than that I am doing good. Just can t figure out what is causing this. I have knee replacement surgery scheduled for July & Sept don t want to have to cancel.
There are various reasons for high WBC count as infection, inflammation, various immune responses or others. The type of morphology with cell count reports are mandatory to guide further in such issue.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
