What Causes High Blood Pressure After Discontinuing Claritin?

I was taking a daily dose of claratin for itchy eyes. Since allergy season is over I stopped taking it 2 days ago. My blood pressure went up that evening from an average of 120/85 to 137/92. Same result the next day. Could the drug be responsible for this?

Hello,

I don't think stopping Claritin has anything to do with the rise in your blood pressure.

I don't find them both related. Your blood pressure rises for other causes.
