What Causes High Blood Pressure After Taking Claritin Tablet?
Yes. I accidently took 2 claretins 24 hr. allergy medicine. I called the pharmacy and they said I should be ok, it just might raise my blood pressure a little. Well, I already have high blood pressure, I take .5 mg of lisinopril daily. I feel ok, just very hyper, like I drank too much coffee. My question is, should I take another lisinopril to balance this out?
It would be best to only take the extra blood pressure medication if you know your exact blood pressure.
If your blood pressure is only slightly elevated, the increased dose of lisinopril may cause the blood pressure to dip too much.
The hyper sensation and possible increased blood pressure would likely be due to the decongestant aspect of the allergy medication. Decongestants can have those effects.
I hope this helps
