What Causes High Blood Pressure Despite Taking Medication?
I am 73 years old. I have been talking losartin for years and my blood pressure has always been controlled. I had an annual physical 2 months ago and everything was great. I also take fosomax and synthroid. I had a cortisone shot in my shoulder for a rotary cuff tear. This is the second time I woke up in the night with my heart racing. Checked my BP 167/97. Cheeks are red. Stomach swelled.
