What Causes High Blood Sugar Level After An Abortion?
I had an abortion at the beginning of March this year and since My sugar levels have been high and I have had strange smelling urine. What could this be? Diabetes runs in my family. I have been to the doctors who has said to come back in a month to check my sugar levels again. I had my blood sugar levels checked by my brother who is diabetic and I was 8.7 which he said is a little high. Could you help please
You are at the early stages of onset of diabetes.I would suggest you to take your blood sugar levels after 20 days.
During these 20 days, you should adhere to strict control of sugar intake and physical exercise for at least half an hour a day.Avoid junk food or high sugar food.
Your levels will reduce than the previous values. Incase they do not reduce ,hypoglycemic drugs like metformin should be taken.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
