What Causes High Fever Along With Chills And Body Pains?

Wife, a 78 year old woman has a fever. at last reading (8:30 PM ) it was 102.4. She had chills (not now) and aches and pains. at 7:00 PM she took 5mg valium.l At 8:00 her temp was 101. at 8:390 she too 500 mg equate pain reliever (acetominop0hene). At 8:40 her temp rose to 102.4. What shall we do?

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern for your wife, certain infection need to be ruled out and first would be urinary tract infection and second enteric fever for both of this, she need blood and urine test, till then fever can be managed with "Tab Acetaminophen 500 mg " take care for hydration, hope this information helps have a nice day ( Sedative need to be avoided "Benzodiazepine" (Valium) in febrile state )
