What Causes High Fever Along With Headache And Bad Breath?

hi, For 3 days I experienced high fever 102 to 103, only additional symptom was light headache it was coming and going for those 3 days On the 4th day temp went only up to 101 and it started at 2 pm and lasted till 8pm Today I noticed very bad breath coming from the root of my tongue, and some burping(3-4x only today), and after the brushing my teeth and tongue, in a 5 min my bad breath was back. No temp/headache what so ever. I have no problem with the teeth/gums also. No coughing, sneezing,runny nose, sore throat, no sinus issues or ear problems. ONLY TEMP and HEADACHE. On the second day went to MD, stated must be flu, take ibuprofen as prescribed for temp.F/u in 7 days.I m worried that I didn t get the right treatment. Please advice. Thanks very much. Mikeli
