What Causes High Fever Along With Headache And Sore Throat?

Hello, My sister has been sick for four days now. She started out with 104 fever, headache, & sore throat. Later on that day she started vomiting & having diarrhea. She has gotten a little better but if she eats anything she continues to vomit & have diarrhea but we are worried because it s been four days now and she still can t keep anything down. Please advice. Thank You, Jessica

Hi,

Understanding your concern. As per your query, your sister has symptoms of high fever along with headache and sore throat which is because of streptococcal infection leading to strep throat. It is leading to granular pharyngitis. Need not to worry.

I would advise you to take a few preventive measures such as do warm saline gargles on daily basis 3- 4 times a day. You should do tepid sponging to avoid high fever.

Visit ENT specialist once and get a complete examination done. Go for blood tests and sputum test as well.

Take proper antibiotic course such as Levofloxacin. Take anti-inflammatory drugs such as Sinarest as well. You should drink plenty of fluids. Take supplements rich in vitamin B12 to boost immunity.
