What Causes High Fever Along With Pain In Lower Back And Legs?
I am a 63 year old healthy male. Dont smoke drink and exercise. I have had high intermittent fevers for a week now. was rushed to hospital with 104 fever. my lower back and legs ache. I have no other symptoms other than slight headache around eyes. I suffer from stuffy nose in the evenings. Have been taking Motrin and Tylenol as instructed by hospital. Was prescribed 500mg of Keflex every 8 hours. Started administering 2 days ago. My fever has dropped from 103 today and now at 101.5 Doc says its viral and found nothing. How long can expect to be suffering like, its brutal.
* As per my clinical experience, as the temperature chart is suggestive of lowering of fever amplitude that suggests that underlying viral infection is getting settled down with the medicines.
* The total duration of recovery and therapy depends upon the viral load, type of infection, host immune response and therapy provided.
* Though any reports or another needed data are not available, I would like to comment that continue your current medication and remain in regular follow up with your doc for best early recovery.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
