What Causes High Fever And Frequent Vomiting In A Child?

My son has had a fever since 4 am this morning it is now 7 pm and is 101.8. He started puking in the morning and was puking until about noon. No he s fine but I ve only given him crackers and water. Should I take him to the immediate care. Or should I just wait and see if it breaks over night?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your son seem to be related to a gastrointestinal infection. I suggest to give him crackers and water. You can use Tylenol for the fever.

If the symptoms continue you can go to the emergency room for further treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
