General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the continuous fever despite ceftriaxone injection 2 gm daily means that there is various possibilities like:
- Associated another infection with enteric fever
- Enteric fever with atypical organisms
- Drug resistant bacteria
- Wrong initial diagnosis
- Poor body response from pharmacodynamic perspectives
- Liver disorders which can hamper the ceftriaxone metabolism
- Others

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
