What Causes High Fever With History Of Gastrointestinal Problem?

I had a sudden spike in fever yesterday to 101.6, but it is now gone. No other symptoms except feeling weak. I m having GI issues (chronic diarhea) and the GI doctor put me on a low FODMAP diet, plus am having top-down and bottom-up colonoscopy on May 8. Might this fever be related to my undiagnosed GI issue, or should I consider that something else is going on?s

HI
Well come to HCM
Such body temperature increased could be nonspecific, if the chances of infection need to be ruled out then blood test and stool examination need to be done, else this is nothing to worry because symptoms could be self limiting even I would advise you to stop the medicine if you ever have it, hope this information helps, take care.
