What Causes High Fever With Sore Throat During Croup Infection?

My son was diagnosed with Croup on Tuesday. The Physician said to give him Tylenol for is fever, and let the virus run it s course. However, today, he s still running a temp, his cough sounds like it s loosened up, but he s complaining of a sore throat. Any thoughts?

welcome to HCM.
Alone tylenol will not work.
Tylenol will helpful in fever and headache.
Please take tablet azithromycin after consulting your doctor.
It is good antibiotic for croup.
Take tablet or syrup levocetirizine for cough, cold and congestions.
Do steam inhalation and saline warm water gargles 2-3 times a day.
Avoid cold water and weather.
Drink warm veg soups.
