What Causes High Heart Rate Despite A Normal Holter Monitor Test?

I ve been tested in the past for PSVT, because I ve had symptoms, and my dad was diagnosed with it. Sadly each time I have the halter monitor nothing happens. Last Night my heart went from 120ish-150 bpm in about 10 minutes. I went to sleep, and it was fine by this morning. But it just went back up to 150, and I m slightly worried. I m faint, and weak. What should I do?

Hello,

Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT) is episodes of rapid heart rate that start in a part of the heart above the ventricles. "Paroxysmal" means from time to time.
You mean to say that your tests for PSVT came normal ?
Holter monitor also normal? In that case, the heart rate has to be due to anxiety or stress. Talk to your doctor for confirmation and if it is anxiety or stress, request go ahead with psychotherapy treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
