What Causes High Heartbeat Rate Of 171?
I ve gone into atrial flutter 5 times in the last 15 months, the most recent one a couple of hours ago. I m 60 years old and in decent healthwise othrewise. I ve had two catheter ablations and 4 cardioversions, the most recent on 4/9. When I ve gone into AF before, my heart rate has been about 120, but this time it s 171. I ve called my doctor s office and left an urgent message, but have not heard back. Given how high my HR is, should I go to ER or wait for doctor s office to call back. I have no chest pain and no history of heart attack. Thanks Don
