What Causes High-pitched Ringing In The Ears, Dizziness And Lack Of Balance?

I have ringing in one ear, and sounds are amplified in high pitch rings -- almost sounds like violin strings inside my ear are breaking whenever someone speaks or music plays. Also, feel off balance, and slightly dizzy. No pain. Woke up this morning with this, and it felt like my ear was plugged up.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are different possible causes for the symptoms that you mentioned such as infection, trauma, excess ear wax, congestion of the sinuses, mass in the inner ear, side effect of medication, ruptured ear drum.

It would be best to see your doctor for an assessment to determine the exact cause because treatment would vary.
Infection would require topical or oral antibiotics.

Your general doctor can see and treat you, an ENT doctor would not normally be necessary.

I hope this helps
