Hi,
Noted a short history about your wife suffering from raised blood pressure, high pulse rate after death of son-in-law, the cardiac tests being normal.
It is good to know that the cardiac evaluation by
Nuclear stress test, enzyme tests are normal.
The cause is obvious.
The death of son-in-law is a great loss for her and your daughter in particular.
The constant thoughts, stress and anxiety leads to
hypertension and high pulse rate.
Hence I would advise her the following:
Consult a Psychiatrist for
counselling and get started on appropriate medicines so that the stress and anxiety are reduced; this will normalize the
heart rate and blood pressure.
Even if the things remain high then the Cardiologist can surely start her on appropriate medications to have proper control.
Role of family in such situations is crucial to handle her.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
