What Causes High Pulse Rate Along With Tiredness?

Hi, Within the last two days I have experienced an elevation in pulse rate from 85-105. Past week, I have been tired with very little movement. I am a 65 year old female with hypertension and high cholesterol. I'm not sure if I should go to the ER.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The normal pulse rate is 60 to 100 so the values that are in this range would be considered normal.

If your pulse goes above 100 then you should make an appointment to see your doctor. You may not need to go to the ER unless it is very high or you are experiencing shortness of breath, chest pain or dizziness along with the high pulse.

Your doctor will likely do an ECG to assess the heart rate and rhythm and any treatment would depend on your symptoms and the results.

The fatigue may indicate that you may have an early infection but you can monitor this as well.

I hope this helps
