What Causes High Pulse Rate With A Headache?

my pulse rate is 91 and I have a bad headache. Some mornings, if I have a sugary snack before bed, at about 3am I wake up with palpitations. I am definatly experiencing menapause. Could this be some kind of anxiety attack. I don't want to think that it is heart disease. My heart feels like it is racing now.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Dear friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Anxiety and/or peri-menopausal symptoms are possible, but less likely / they do not come up at 3 AM!
The first step is to see a Cardiologist / heartbeats need to be DOCUMENTED...
EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance.
It is wiser to get investigated and exclude - than keep guessing…

Take care
God bless
