What Causes High Pulse Rate?

I have a pulse rate of 100bpm nearly all the time now. I have had the halter monitor on for a day and nothing was found, also I had an echo which was also fine. I am now asked to wear a halter monitor for 5 days to rule out anything else that may affect the heart. I am advised that I may have anxiety and that I may need to be treated for this.

Hello
Welcome here.
100bpm is a normal pulse though its on higher side of normal range. Normal pulse rate ranges from 60-100 per minute.

You have mentioned that investigations which you have undergone are normal.

I think you have been rightly advised that you have anxiety.
I would suggest you to visit a psychologist for evaluation.
Relaxation exercises like deep breathing and meditation will help to keep you calm and would control your heartbeat.

Hope this helps.
Thanks.
