What Causes High Temperature Despite Taking Z Pak And Ibuprofen?

My 5 year old has a fever of 102.9 been going up for the past 4hrs on ibuprofen. Took to urgent care yesterday and started on the Zpack, tested negative for strep, but were going to grow the culture since he has had trep 3x since June. Suggestions.

I really appreciate your concern, at this time fever may not be due to bacteria but it could be due to virus, if the previous episode of fever was due to bacteria so it may not be the same at this time, hope this information helps.
