What Causes Hip Pain?

Started taking Medrol Dose pack today for respiratory symptoms. They are better but started having severe hip pain. I have read that if you have bone/joint pain while taking this drug, you should contact your doctor immediately. Is this just a side effect or should I stop the drug and talk to my doctor?
