What Causes Hives And Swelling In The Forearms?

I developed hives (upper inside arms, trunk and upper back and lower neck) and swollen hands last night from 5pm to 11pm. I woke up this morning and the hives have subsided a lot, but my hands are a little more swollen along with my upper forearms. What caused this? I have no other symptoms of any kind. thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Welcome to healthcaremagic.com!

From your description of the symptoms I suspect you having allergic or atopic dermatitis may be due to exposure to some allergen. I advise you to have antihistaminic drug like levocetrizine to subside the rash. There is nothing to worry about it.

Thank you.

Regards,
Dr. Manan
