What Causes Hives Like Rashes While Using Tineacide Solution?

My doctor had me start using Tineacide antifungal solution I started breaking out thought at first it was some kind of bites but then I was told it wasn t bites as there was no holes in the skin it looked more like hives. this is the only thing that has changed other than we were watch a dog for a friend but I started using this the same time as I took the dog in. The dog has had several baths and there are no flies on her and they have never bothered me before. Could this be a reaction to the med.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms can be related to an allergic reaction to the medication if you haven't used anything new lately.

I suggest using an antihistamine such as Levocetirizine to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest using Bethametazone cream for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
