What Causes Hoarseness And Discomfort In The Throat?

For months now, I have had trouble clearing my throat. Sometimes my voice sounds deeper, scarey, I am female. Anyway, I usually get my annual physical, eyes, mammogram, etc.. I do have a lot of allergies since I now live in a very hot and humid area, as compared to being born and raised where is normally cooler, cold. I don t have any clue as to what is causing this.
